• Earth tones are in – tans and browns and all shades of green. Don’t be afraid to paint walls and cabinets. Pantone declared Peach Fuzz the color of the year – and it pairs nicely with natural earth tones. In addition, dark gray and black are growing in popularity as accents on the exterior of homes (doors, trim and shutters).
• Bathrooms that create a spa experience. New construction and renovations are incorporating soft lighting (backlit mirrors and ceiling lighting), large tubs, rain showerheads or multi-sprayers, and even steam showers!
• Mixed metals – this 2023 trend is here to stay. Homeowners are mixing up the metal finishes in their homes with brass and black or bronze, or brass and nickel faucets, cabinet and door hardware, sinks, and even light fixtures.
• Warm woods –Rich warm colors for floors, mantels, cabinets, and even furniture are back in style. We are even seeing dark wood paneling! All-white kitchens are on their way out.
• Vintage touches. We are seeing a splash of vintage lighting and couches on the scene. In addition, displaying your fine china is HOT for 2024. Custom-built cabinets, shelves and even “china pantries” are popping up to display these family heirlooms.
• Individualism is in! (We feel like this never goes out of style.) Make your home, YOUR home. Regardless of what’s in or out, make sure your space works for you and your family.
